ARMS | Heat & Hot Water

Yesterday, one of my most anticipated albums of the year was finally released. I’ve been following NY’s ARMS since back when I lived in Japan and heard Kids Aflame for the first time. Then, last year, the *free* ARMS EP had a few of my favorite tracks all year on it. Since then they’ve been touring relentlessly and honing their sound, and it’s been a pleasure for me to watch as these guys keep making a name for themselves.

Now they’re even more set to get noticed - I’m really hoping that ARMS’ latest album Summer Skills propels them onto a lot of people’s year-end lists. Their intricate guitar riffing and mystifying lyrics sung by former Harlem Shakes member Todd Goldstein are only two of the many reasons this is worth an instant buy in my books.
