Oliver Tank | Last Night I Heard Everything In Slow Motion

I am currently listening to this Dreams EP that I first heard about through yvynyl’s recent post about one of the best songs I’ve heard this year, Up All Night. Let me just say that on the basis of that song along I rushed over to bandcamp to pick up the rest of the EP and haven’t stopped listening to it since then. My wife smiles & rolls her eyes at me every time that song comes on now, but I just can’t help myself!

Last Night I Heard Everything In Slow Motion is more of the goodness from that EP - Oliver Tank invokes a feeling of weightlessness through his brand of electronic music that could be described as James Blake-esque, yet uniquely exists in its own stratosphere. I gotta say, this one feels like a musical homerun at the end of an already packed 2011. It’s unfortunate his music will be missing the year-end “best of” hullabaloo, but don’t let that cause you to look over this incredible EP.

Pick it up here.
